Are you worthy of Love?
As we journey through this week of love celebrations, I have been asking myself, what is the most potent form of love? Is it the love a parent has for a child? Perhaps the deep love of two star crossed lovers? Is it sibling love that tops the rest? Or maybe it is the deep love of whatever your chosen career path?
There are many answers to this set of questions; and with those answers comes new questions, and thus the cycle continues. Does agreeing that one form of love is more potent, mean the others are ineffective or unwarranted? The answer of course is that all forms of love are potent! At the root of all these relationship structures is an initial love that drew the two souls together. Hopefully It is love that built the foundation; yet wether the relationship was built in love or otherwise, it is surely LoVe that will sustain and heal all areas.
As you ponder your current relationships, I ask you to consider that perhaps the most important and thus most potent expression of love is that of self love & self care. Keep in mind that no matter who the other person in the situation may be, (whether a co-worker, friend, spouse/partner, child, or sibling) you will bring YOU into every relationship, thus making self love the most important expression of love we can display.
Expressing self care is not arrogant or narcissistic (although these residual states occur due to an imbalance within your self love and and mental states.) It is about being aware that the most important thing you can do in any relationship or interaction; which is to bring the best possible version of yourself into every situation.
Consider for a moment; how many of your interactions over the last month or two, have been approached out of anger, fear, disappointment or suspicion? When we enter into an argument, conversation, debate or otherwise, we are operating out of base level vibrations which emenate from the lower chakras being unbalanced.
Now consider how your subjective experience, and perhaps the perspective of others may have been improved, by operating from a position of love and peace ☮️, which is your most natural state of being!
Might things have gone a bit smoother? Perhaps you may have been able to stand up for yourself or even leave a hostile situation?!
Regardless of what the possible outcome may have been, the situation was driven by an emotional state that left you unbalanced, and scrambling to organize your thoughts and emotions.
However no matter what your past experiences may have been, you are not the body you inhabit, the number on the scale, the thought of emotions that flow through your being, or even the labels that have been given to you by others over the years. YOU, are a limitless, and perfect being, having a human experience! Within this experience there will be twists, turns, peaks, valleys, treacherous terrain, and serene oceans on a daily, ever changing basis. So given this is the true nature of life, it is imperative that we focus on keeping ourselves not only physically active, and mentally sharp, but more importantly in balance and in alignment with those things that uplift our spirit, and increase our capacity of love.
Listed are 12 ways that you can practice self-care daily, in order to stay true to your inner TrUth.
If it feels wrong, don't do it.
Say 'exactly' what you mean.
Don't be a people pleaser (it is impossible to please everyone)
Trust your instincts.
Never speak badly of yourself!
Never give up on your dreams!
Do not be afraid to say "no" to others or things that not currently serving your highest good.
Don't be afraid to say 'yes' to opportunities that will broaden your horizons, challenge your comfort or uplift your soul.
Be KiND to yourself!
Let go of those things you cannot control, and focus on what you are fully capable of at heart.
Stay away from DRAMA & negativity.
Just LOve ...yourself and others
Remember you are a gift to be treasured! If you do not care for the gift that is you, it will go unappreciated and mistreated by yourself and others. People will always treat you according to the standard you set for yourself!
Your life is worth whatever it is you have to go through or overcome in order to express the best version of yourself.
