Soulful Songnday- Music Therapy for the Introspective Heart
There are times when we are faced with a situation that invokes such an emotional response, that we simply cannot find the words to aptly express our feelings. For most of us, we can reach into the archives of our brain, and select a meaningful, heartfelt song that helps us express said emotions, whether they be filled with happiness, and joy or sorrow and pain.
Music has a very disticnt way in which it can affect all parts of both our conscious and sub conscious, both positively and negatively. Each Month we will post heartfelt, introspective and inspirational songs that are meant to either uplift your soul, or cause you to take a moment and reflect on your inner thoughts and values. If there is a song that has helped you overcome a difficult situation, or helped you feel uplifted in times of depression, we would be honored if you would share it with us. This sunday's chice is "Brother" performed by: Need To Breathe. This song was an instant favorite of mine, the first time it graced my ears on the airwaves. It a song that touches a part of my heart that has dealt with loss, even as early as age five, As many of us know, sometimes the world can be a depressing place, even when amomgst friends, our minds can be the lonliest place in which we inhabit. "Brother" wraps its musical arms around your shoulder and pulls you in tight for comfort and peace, while settling the restless heart into a state of love and enlightenment.
